Only the organizer, who makes the group and chooses its style. The people of the group open the link on their phone, with no account and nothing to install.

Seven are ready: Classic, Football, Comic, Instant, Pixel art, Watercolor, and Outdoors. You can also describe a style of your own in words, or start from one of the seven, and try it on a photo before you share the link.

With one link, sent in a chat or by email, or with its QR code shown in the room. Whoever cannot read the QR code types the code written under it, at the address written there too.

Yes. In the settings of the group you can give it a credit limit it never goes past, and the link stops taking new people when it is reached.

Yes, if you ask for it in the settings of the group. Until you approve a picture, its person sees it but cannot download it or use it. If you decline it, with a reason, the person takes a new photo without losing a try.

Yes. With Google Classroom the link of the group goes in a course. With Moodle, Cool Profile opens from the course, and people are recognised by their account there.

One face, in focus, with enough light. A plain background and a good camera are not needed. If a photo does not work, the page says why, for example too dark or out of focus, and asks for another.

The organizer decides, for each group. Every photo that reaches the check counts as a try; a fault on our side does not.

About 30 seconds to check the photo, and about a minute and a half from the selfie to the picture. Realistic styles like Football take about three minutes.

In the 24 official languages of the European Union. It opens in the language of the phone, and each person can change it.

It can be downloaded, and it can go:

• to Slack, Microsoft 365 (Teams and Outlook), Zoom, WhatsApp, Telegram, Gravatar or an email signature, from the result page;
• to LinkedIn, Discord, GitHub, Atlassian and Webex, with the file and the steps the page gives;
• to everyone’s account in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and to each person on Slack, when the organizer sends the pictures there.

From the link, each person sees only their own photos and picture. The organizer sees the whole group. Nothing is published: there is no public gallery.

Yes: the pictures are made by Madoo, an image service. A photo is sent there only to make its picture, and deleted there once nothing needs it, within about half an hour. The pictures it made stay there for up to 180 days, and are not public.

The school or the organization collects the parents’ consent and, when it makes the link, confirms in the app that it has it; the app records who confirmed and when. Styles that let people look unlike themselves are not offered, and neither are Telegram, Gravatar, the email signature or the WhatsApp number of Cool Profile.

Until the organizer removes the person or the group, which deletes their photos and pictures at once.

We agree the credits with each organization. When you invite people you say how many, and the group stops at the credits for that number.
